Chateau de Leyzarnie

Built in the beginning of the XXth century by a Rich Belgium industrialist, designed by Eugene Pinetre. Work began in 1900 and finished in 1908, in later days it was used as a holiday camp for kids (colonie de vacances).

It is not known the exact date of it actual abandonment but in 2006 the chateau is owned by a real estate company (Mont Vert Réalité) who put in plans to turn the site into residential covering 25,000sq.m but by 2007 the company ceased trading and the chateau has sat empty since. it was saved in 2013 by a catholic association and restoration we believe is now under way.
