Chateau d’Usson

The Chateau d’Usson, demolished by order of the cardinal de Richelieu, in the XVIIth century, Usson sits on a volcanic plate at a height of 639 metres sits a statue of the Virgin Mary overlooking the surrounding areas for miles around (it was very misty so could not be seen from the road today but a nice surprise when we found this, It was built in 1893, The Eglise Saint-Maurice dates to the XIVth and XVIth centurys.
