Boissonnelle is mentioned for the first time in the 11th century as property of Hugues de Boissonnelle. The seigneurs of the estate will be numerous. Passing under Montboissier and then Montmorin, the chateau de Boissonnelle is mentioned as always standing on Cassini maps in the eighteenth century.
A description of 1902 specifies it surrounded by farm buildings. Apart from a motte castle to the south of the chateau, there remains on the rocky peak today only part of the walls, connecting the wo towers, as well as the entrance gate.
