Chassenon Abandoned Watermill

The ancient name of Chassenon (based in the Charente) was Cassinomagus, The commune is located in the area of a meteoritic crater, formed approximately 214 million years ago, the Crater of Rochechouart-Chassenon. most houses in the area are built from this stone. An abandoned mill and its workings, judging by the fact that there is a electric sub station there, is it possible that the mill would have been or still could be producing electric? I love the gears 😀

Demolished in 2016.
